70th Anniversary of the US Marines Arrival
in Queen Elizabeth Park
From May 26 through to June 14 there will be a number of events
across Greater Wellington to celebrate the Marines arrival here.
Memorial Day (28 May 2012) will be celebrated in Queen Elizabeth Park with a special commemorative programme from 10am till 1pm.
Everyone is invited to attend and our Trams will be operating to take people to the site.

and we will NOT be open Monday to Friday during the July School Holidays.)

- Trams run through nature from the Queen Elizabeth Park entrance at MacKays Crossing for 2
Kms to Whareroa Beach.
- Take a look at our 'Yesteryear
Today' film showing inside the tram used in the movie 'King Kong' and
other interesting tramway artifacts.
- Have a close look at the hard work of members who are preserving Wellington's Tramway heritage.
- Our shop is open during operating hours selling tram tickets, ice creams,
soft drinks, snacks and tramway souvenirs.
